About Venture Place
Venture Place is the business incubator program of The 567. The goals of Venture Place are to foster an entrepreneurial spirit, support the growth of new and existing small businesses and freelancers, and promote an atmosphere of camaraderie among small business owners in downtown Macon. It does this through affordable work space, workshops, networking events, and other business support services.
For new small businesses (two years old or less), Venture Place offers a membership program. Venture Place members get work space, a reduced rate for your business license, and one-on-one consultations. Our work space includes high-speed internet, a copier/printer/scanner, a conference room, and complimentary coffee. We are conveniently located in the heart of downtown Macon, and for those interested in government contracting, we are even located in a HUB zone.
Cities all over the world have started coworking spaces where entrepreneurs can share work space, network, and build community. Many find they gain energy & inspiration from working alongside other entrepreneurs instead of being isolated in a private office. For just $60 per month, you can use our gallery space or shared coworking room to work on your laptop, hold small meetings, or meet with clients. You don’t get a private office, but you can still use The 567 as your business’s mailing address, along with all the other benefits of being a Venture Place member. You have 24-hour access, so you can drop in to work when it’s convenient for you. Coworking especially lends itself well to creative entrepreneurs, such as graphic designers, writers, programmers, or those with a web-based business.
